Second Post-- Progress Update 4/6/11

I am trying to find a person to interview still but I contacted a worker from the Animal Rescue League of Boston. I haven't gotten a reply yet but hopefully when they do, I will either meet up with them and interview them or do it electronically. I am going to put more links on my blog as well.

My blog has been moving right along, everyday for about a half hour I've been finding out new information on my issue. Since my contemporary issue is Alcohol Abuse it is very personal so I can interview someone close to me and will have an interview with that person this week. More video links and posts will go up on my blog by the end of this week.

I also came across an article about a scientist who discovered bacteria on a meteorite which proves to be of alien life. Here's my link,

I am currently searching for various videos and excerpts that reinforce my thoughts about new and upcoming technology. Many of these include the new iPad 2, iPhone 4, different types of tablet PC's, headphones, 3D and 4D televisions new computers and the software that they run off of. I have decided to interview Mr. Ralph Gioiosa. I feel that Mr. Gioiosa is a great interviewee because of his experience and knowledge of technology, electronics, and of course computers.
ReplyDeleteI have been working in the lab with Ms. Ventura for the past couple of days so I didn't get a chance to add to the first post so here is my comment:
ReplyDeleteI chose to raise awareness on Sex abuse in the clergy. I've been recently interested in the scandal because I think it's amazing how the clergy can get away with crimes for so long thanks to the support they received from the justice system who allowed the crimes to continue. I am planning to make a PSA on the subject using the help from two very skilled actors in our class,Grace and Anthony. For my interview I am going to email a psychologists who deals with these issues to get a professional perspective on the matter. I hope to learn a lot from doing my research and from viewing the other presentations.
For the new assignment:
I will start shooting tomorrow thanks to the help of my two actors ( I hope it turns out great!). The script is almost done and all that's left is the editing which I will do with Ms. Ventura's help. I have yet to start the interview but I plan to do so this weekend. I really interested in seeing what my interviewee has to say regarding sexual abuse by priests...I hope he doesn't take too long to answer.
This week I have updated my blog with more information about MS. I hope this will bring more awareness too it and understanding. I still need to add a lot more such as videos and links. I am going to interview my dad who has MS soon and post it on the blog. I have not decided if it will be video or written.
ReplyDeleteMy project is going well. I made a facebook page for drug awareness and have been adding pictures and some background statistics on the issue. I will also be adding links to the page about drug use. Finding someone to interview should not be hard at all, because drug use is somewhat rampant. I’ve started to invite my friends to the group, but no one has joined yet. I’ve found that there is an abundance of information online but it is hard to get people to join.
ReplyDeleteMy project is going to be about crime in Boston. I plan to set up a Facebook page that is updated daily with videos and news about the crime happening in Boston. This page will hopefully keep the younger population aware about the crime in Boston.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm doing pretty good because I'm always making my page better day by day and I'm brainstorming the ideas to make it even better. My information about the page is complete, I uploaded the profile picture, wrote on the wall, sent requests to all my friends to 'like' and support page. So, I'm working hard pretty much I jus need a lot of likes for my Facebook page. And also i still think need to find someone to interview but I'm writing the questions for the interview to be prepared.
ReplyDeleteHey classmates!! so i decided to change the outline of my project from a facebook page to a blog on blogger.com!! its great because i can post different types of things on the blog compared to what i can do with the facebook page. I'm going to interview one of my friends who has the disease and be able to get another point of view from someone who has been personally affected by the disease. Everyday i am able to add more and more to the blog!
ReplyDeleteOver the past couple weeks I've just been straight up blogging in this piece, you feel me. I got like mad blog posts with pictures and videos and a bag of chips too. Basically I'm going to interview guidance counselors who have helped students with college stress, and students who were affected by college stress.I am also in the process of inviting followers to the blog, to give it more exposure to the outside world. I also plan on videotaping my interview as another piece of media on my bloggy.

I have filmed all of the necessary scenes for my PSA and I am currently editing them to prepare my rough draft for Friday. I have acted in several other peoples' PSA videos as well. Today, after school, I will interview someone on my issue. In school I plan on editing my film more.

My project is going fairly well. I started a Facebook page and am now posting things on it. I have also interviewed two people that relate to my issue.
ReplyDeletemy project is going well, i started a facebook page rather than doing a blog and i feel like it is a better choice. ive found someone to interview who has helped collect money for relief efforts before so i think it will be a good idea to interview her. other than that my project is progressing well.

My project is going well so far. I was lucky enough to find someone to interview on depression and I've already started the list of questions I'm planning on asking them. The scheduling to ask the questions is a little tough, but hopefully it'll work out. My Facebook awareness page has been a little challenging because there is a lot of information to put up, so I've been trying to go on everyday and add more information.
ReplyDeleteI am finished shooting all of my video. It is about cyberbullying and I am hoping that once I put it on YouTube I hope to Post it on my facebook so people will watch it. I have been in another psa video and over the past week or so I have been editing the video. I hope to be done editing soon after April vacation!

I am finished shooting my video and I am almost done editing it. I still have a little finishing touches to do but it is almost done. I will post the video on facebook and youtube hopefully gaining more awareness and changing the way people feel about texting while driving. My interview is also done, i used two anonymous high school students.
