Describe your project (1-2 paragraphs): What issue you have chosen to raise awareness about, why this issue interests you, what you are planning to do for your project (blog, psa, video, etc), interview ideas, and what you'd like to learn about other peoples' projects.
Gang violence is the issue that I've chosen to raise awareness. This issue interests me because I like to inform other people who are unaware about Gang violence and they should be informed educationally. I'm planning to either create a blog or create my own Facebook page. The thing that I would like to learn about people's projects are different issues and how it affects the people who get affected by them.
ReplyDeleteI am raising the awareness for Animal Abuse. I hope to stop the abuse from inside and outside the home. I am just starting my blog and I will post links to people's stories from how they rescued their pets. I am doing this issue because it interests me and I really like animals. I hope to make people more aware of what could be happening across the country or even in their own neighborhoods.

ReplyDeleteI've chosen the topic Alcoholism and Alcohol Abuse. I'm going to make a blog on the topic to spread awareness of the issue. It will include information, tips to help and an interview of someone who was/still is effected by the issue.
ReplyDeleteHey guys!! well for my project i am researching Osgood–Schlatter disease. This is a disease of the knee and occurs in active boys and girls aged 9–16. I plan on doing an amazing Facebook page that spreads awareness of the disease and it will teach you all what happens when you have it. Im going to interview another student in the school who has it and get his personal story of him having the disease!! You guys will enjoy the facebook page!! : )

This topic interests me because it is an issue that badly effects people every day. Also, it has only become an issue in the past few years as technology has grown and became such an every day occurance.

Im choosing to talk about earthquakes and relief (ani) because there have been recent world disasters that have happened and i would love to learn more about them and how we can all help. and there are many people who are unaware about the details of what happened so this blog would be helpful. people could also come to this blog to learn more about earthquakes and how they start.
ReplyDeleteIve chosen to raise awareness for the issue of drug use. This issue interests me because it is rampant, especially by high school and college students. I think that I will interview someone close who has been affected by drugs. I would like to gain a better sense of other peoples issues.

ReplyDeleteThe reason this topic interests me for so much, is because i know a lot of kids deal with it, and i love learning about different college, you could certainly say its a hobby of mineee :p On the blog ill post video interviews from students and guidance counselors, offering help, and showing students who have faced college stress.

I'm doing a PSA on marijuana. This will be an anti-drug awareness video. I think it is an important issue because many students at WHS smoke marijuana. I am planning on interviewing a few students and asking them what they think about the marijuana use in our school. The students could remain anonymous if they choose to but I would also like to include a filmed interview. I am looking for help and people who would want to be a part of my video so if anyone is interested please let me know!

ReplyDeleteThe issue I chose to raise awareness for is depression and how it can effect anyone at any time and for different reasons. I'll be creating a facebook page describing the different symptoms that show up while being depressed and how you can seek help from professionals or someone you feel comfortable with. I'll be interviewing a person who has dealt with people suffering from depression. I hope the facebook page will help people understand more about the disease.
ReplyDeleteThe issue I chose to raise awareness about is religion and its effects. This issue interests me because religion plays a prominent role in my life. I know many people whose lives have been bettered because of religion and many people whose families have disowned them for their religious choices. For my project, I plan to write a blog and conduct an interview with a friend who converted to Judaism and a rabbi who converted to Judaism as well. They will talk about how their lives have changed for the better and for the worse. I hope to learn how each person's issue effects the people in the world.
ReplyDeleteThe issue I have chosen to raise awareness about is Bullying in high school and in college. This has been a very big issue and problem the past few years all across the United States. So big that laws have been passed to prevent bullying. It has been noted that recently more and more people are being picked on because they are "different" from everyone else. Reasons include religion, race, nationality, sexual orientation, etc. One of the most known cases is the Pheobe Prince case. She was bullied so much that she eventually committed suicide. No one should ever be singled out that much to where they result to taking their life in order to escape the embarrassment and sadness they face.
ReplyDeleteI plan on making a facebook page to raise awareness. My page will include videos and news articles and clips of bullying cases. I will also include a way to help someone who is being bullied as well as a list of positive things someone who is being bullied can do to help cope with this issue.
I think i may not have met the requirements in my last post so i shall tell more about my blog. Using information from NASA and with videos and pictures i will discuss how aliens existing is a serious subject. I have already posted some interesting things and will continue to post. I hope i can change peoples opinions and inspire them to open their minds and think in a different way. Thank you
ReplyDeleteI chose to raise awareness about the struggles that immigrant children have to deal with both at school and at home. I’m planning on doing a blog for my project with a video I’ll make to post in my blog. Students and kids who deal with the issue and feel like sharing their stories can post anonymously if they’d like and meet new kids that got through the same issue. I’ve interviewed a few of the students at our school that deal with this issue. I hope this blog will give students a sense of relief to know that many others are going through the same things and ask any questions they might have.

Many new innovations are high tech and portable, with the ability to use the internet on almost all of them. These new technological advancements are going to be vital for our generation in our upcoming years of college. These electronics not only can be used to make our school work easier to generate, but it is also great for recreational purposes as well.

I am doing a PSA on texting while driving. I chose this because I know that it is a vital issue with not only the country right now but kids in our own school. The PSA will be short and to the point, displaying a young girl get into an accident because she is texting while driving. My interview is with a person who texts while drives and a person who does not.
